Disney interview with Film Critic Tom Beasley
This is an interview I have done with Tom Beasley who is a film critic. The interview is all about discussing the rich history of 100 years of Disney. I really enjoyed this interview because Tom was very insightful and gave some fantastic answers to all of my questions.
Questions I asked:
How did Walt Disney create the animated studios?
How have Disney maintained their success throughout the years?
Why did Disney acquire all of these huge franchises?
Do they make films like they used to?
Why hasn’t a film reached the top 10 grossing films since 2019?
What films come to your head when I say the word Disney?
Why did Disney transition into selling products like clothes, toys, Disneyworld etc?
Do younger audiences still watch films now we are entering a more digital age with short form content?
Would Disney + be appealing to a younger audience when they can use TikTok instead?
Do you know any statistics of children that watch a whole film from start to finish?
Was creating Disney + a good opportunity to keep up with modern trends?
Do fans like the spin-off or is it another way to keep the cash cow going?
Have Disney’s competitors outdone them in recent years?
I felt like most of my questions were well thought out but could have been worded a little bit better because there were a few times when it felt like I was asking similar questions. However, I felt like there were a few times where I over-explained the question but Tom knew what I was trying to say.
Interview with Sports Journalist Katie Stafford
This is the full interview I did with Katie Stafford who works for BBC sport in Manchester. I reached out to her to see if I could interview her about how social media has impacted sports teams and there players. I need to cut down 38 minutes of footage to include in my four min podcast as it is required for my assignment brief. Katie gave some fantastic answers to my questions and really appreciate taking her the time to speak to me.
Interview with Paralympian Kare Adenegan
This is the full interview with Paralympian Kare Adenegan for one of my assignments based around Great Britain’s chances in Paris 2024. I really enjoyed this interview because she gave some insightful answers into her world of the Paralympics and what it takes to achieve a gold medal in the sport she takes part in.
Interview with Geoff Berekley
This is the full interview with Geoff Berekley who helped with my 2-minute and 30-second TV feature on Great Britain’s chances of success in the Paralympics. It was a fantastic insight into the world of the Paralympics and what it takes to become an athlete. The only negative was that I forgot to click the record button the first time around so Geoff was kind enough to spend his time giving me a second interview answering the same questions.
Interview with Vinyl Records store staff member
I was tasked with going out to Coventry and finding an original news story that we could enter into a news bulletin. We headed up to Fargo Village to see if they had any events we could cover and came across this vinyl records store with a vast variety of music from 40 years ago, for example. We wanted to create a news story around are under 25’s being priced out of getting into vinyl records?

He goes into detail about the impact of the cost of living in grassroots football as there are multiple reasons to the question.
